Some of you may still remember Het Binnenhuys, the interior design house Karin ran on Aruba for many years, known for true island class and Caribbean elegance. Life took us elsewhere, but the dream never left: to come back to the island and create something beautiful again.
That dream has come true. Het Binnenhuys has become The Boho House, boho for bohemian: that lush, laid-back island way of living we love. We create interiors that make you feel you truly live here, or that your second home on Aruba really is a home.
The Boho House is a mother-and-daughter story. Joy was born on Aruba, a true Aruban, and together we make a dynamic, creative team. We’ve also just opened our Hopi Joy boutique in downtown Oranjestad (“hopi” means “a lot” in Papiamento, a lot of joy), because we believe in helping our city center bloom again.
Come for exclusive interior advice, for decoration, or simply to browse and linger. We speak several languages, we’ve worked hard on something beautiful, and we can’t wait to welcome you.
